What is Photo Rejuvenation?

Photo Rejuvenation is when the light being emitted creates heat in the tissues and the body thinks that there is damage being caused – although it is not. The body creates a wound healing effect which in turn causes a mass of collagen stimulation. The effect is fine lines disappear, deep lines soften, shrinkage of enlarged pores, evening out skin tone, and tightening and lifting of the skin.

As with Photo Rejuvenation, the light is passed over the area to be treated. The skin will then send collagen to the area to repair the skin. Acne treatments are best performed with a good skin care routine in place, so we recommend Environ Skin Care for your homecare routine.

Treatment costs depend on session length.

Short session (15 min) per session.

Acne treatments are done every 2 weeks for up to 10 sessions.

Pigmentation treatments are performed by passing the light over the affected area. This heats up the skin, and pushes the melanin to the surface. Initially, the pigmentation may get darker, but the pigmentation will then start to break up and reduce with subsequent treatments.

Treatment costs depend on session length.

Short session (15 min) per session.

Pigmentation treatments are done every 4 weeks for up to 10 sessions.

Please make sure you either shave or use a depilatory cream prior to your visit. "Why?" you may ask? As this is a light based treatment, the light needs to define the hair follicle from the rest of the skin. Therefore, the hair within the follicle guides the light to the appropriate area.

Darker hair on lighter skin works best for this treatment. But of course, if you think you may not be a candidate for this type of treatment, it is always best to get in contact with us so we can speak with you further regarding this.

You may need up 10 -12 treatments for best results, however, some clients only require 6.
